Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Dear Prayer Partners,
Wow, how time flies.  Seems like yesterday it was the 1 September 2006, and the start of my home assignment.  Fast forwarding to the present date, it is a week before Christmas.  In seven days I will be saying goodbye to my church, family and friends, and saying hello to the new opportunity that awaits me in the United Kingdom, for that matter the world.
I feel my time here has been a productive time.  I had plenty of opportunities to visit with my supporting churches and friends.  This, for me, blessed me more than I can say.  Even more, I was blessed with being in a number of churches that I never had the chance to visit in the past.  I am praising the Lord for meeting all my needs during this home assignment.
A number of great things happen while I was home, but there was sadness too.  One great thing that happened is that I encouraged two churches to come to the UK on a short term mission, possible next Summer.  The sad news is, early this month my brother-in-law went to his boat, and was never seen again.  Please pray for the family.  Thank you.
