UPDATE: WHAT IS DOUG UP TO?

Dear Friends,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow, it is kind of hard to believe that Christmas is on Sunday. Today the weather was very nice. No, it was not hot, but it was so pleasant to walk around outside.

Update on the Joy in The City Mission from 14 to 22 December 2005

For this Mission, we had three new people join our Outreach. One was from Virginia, USA; another was from South Korea; and the last one was from Africa. We did so many things on this Outreach. The Global Challenge Team did Christmas caroling in both a local hospital and a nursing home, passed out many tracts in Wolverhampton and had an introduction to the Asian Ministry. I taught a few effective Gospel illustrations. I understand from the feedback I got back concerning this Mission that everyone in attendance had a great time. This is the first of many Global Challenge Missions that I will be working with in the future.

On 27 December, we will start the New Year's Joy In The City Mission. This Mission will go from 27 December 2005 to 3 January 2006. I understand we will have 17 or 18 in attendance for this Mission. More on this Global Challenge Mission later.

In my last Update, I told you of my website that I was setting up. EscapeToFreedom.org is now live and online.

Thank you all so very much for your wonderfully encouraging Christmas cards and for your financial gifts. They mean a lot to me, especially since I cannot be home for Christmas this year. I plan to be back in the States in October 2006 and will stay for three months.
